1 - sabemos que você está a frente do fã clube desde 82. Conte-nos como você se tornou responsável pelo fã clube de mais tempo de existência:
O emprego foi anunciado num jornal de Londres chamado "The Evening Standard". Eu vi o anúncio e liguei para o telefone. Eu não tinha idéia pra quem seria, o anúncio apenas dizia : "Banda de Rock famosa requer secretária para Fã-Clube". Eu fui ao escritório do Queen em "Pembridge Road" para uma entrevista, e me pediram para voltar para uma segunda entrevista com Jim Beach. Eu o encontrei, nós conversamos e recebi um telefonema na mesma noite dizendo que o emprego era meu. Isso aconteceu em 1982!

2- Você lida diretamente com a banda. Quais acontecimentos você destacaria como: mais felizes mais engraçados e mais tristes?
Oh, tantos tipos de momentos como TODOS estes... Os mais felizes foram quando eu fui sortuda o suficiente para ver o Queen ao vivo ou a ir à suas festas fabulosas! Um dos momentos mais engraçados foi em uma festa do Freddie em sua casa, ele estava atrás do bar servindo-nos uns drinks, e fez todos nós "batermos" - Vodka e champanhe em pequenos copos, você tinha que cobrir o topo do copo colocar rapidamente sobre o bar e então beber tudo de uma vez. Ele insistiu que bebêssemos tanto quanto ele! O mais triste foi é claro, quando Freddie ficou doente e morreu. Eu sinto falta dele ainda, assim como todos os fãs do Queen.

3- Você tem alguma música, álbum favorito da banda? Tem alguma musica que você não gosta?
Álbum favorito é o  A Night at the Opera, música favorita Don´t stop me now! Não há nenhuma canção da qual eu não goste.

4- Que bandas, artistas você gosta? Quem é seu ídolo?
Gosto de todo tipo de música - no geral Rock, várias bandas novas, mas acho que não tenho na verdade um ídolo.

5- É claro que você nos dirá que não tem favorito entre os membros da banda Queen. Mas com certeza, tem aquele com quem você mais tem empatia, se identifica... Quem é? Por que?
Eu amo todos eles sinceramente! Eu sou mais próxima do Brian, como conversamos muito, nos vemos mais do que vejo Roger. Mas o Roger me faz rir e eu curto demais sua companhia quando eu o vejo.

6- Sabemos das dificuldades de e manter o fã clube atualmente, inclusive do fechamento da sede. O Que Brian e Roger tem feito para ajudar a mantê-lo? Como você tem lidado com estas dificuldades?
Brian e Roger dão muito apoio ao fã clube e aos fãs. Mas há pouco que eles possam realmente fazer para nos manter. Eles sempre tentam assegurar que o fã clube consiga ingressos prioritários para os concertos para as premieres We Will Rock You e outros eventos. São coisas como essas que vão manter o Fã Clube - razões para as pessoas quererem fazer parte!

7-E os fãs? O que podemos fazer para não deixar o fã clube fechar?
Os membros do fã-clube são sempre tão leais à banda e ao Fã Clube. A forma para prosseguirmos é conseguir mais membros para se afiliarem e tentar encorajar nossos membros a continuarem se renovando. Eu sempre fico feliz com sugestões de fãs sobre o que podemos fazer como um fã clube para conseguir novos membros, e sobre uma forma de manter nossos membros atuais felizes.

8- Como você vê a parceria Queen + Paul Rodgers? você colocaria outro vocalista? Deixaria somente Roger e Brian nos vocais??
Eu amo Paul Rodgers! Eu acho que o Paul tem uma voz ótima e uma ótima presença de palco também. Ele não tenta ser o Freddie, isso poderia não ser muito bom (NINGUÉM um dia SERÁ o Freddie, ou tão bom quanto ele, então é bom o fato de o Paul não tentar copiar ele!). Eu acho que a outra única pessoa que poderia fazer os vocais seria um cara chamado Jeff Scott Soto (recentemente com o Journey). Ele já cantou com Queen e foi Brilhante .

9- Queen... Sem Freddie e sem John? O que você nos diz sobre isso?
O Queen como banda eram quatro pessoas e indivíduos diferentes. Um delas está infelizmente, morto, outra (John) se aposentou - mas duas delas ainda estão vivas e bem, querendo manter sua música viva. Eu acho isso uma coisa ótima. Um mundo sem a real música do Queen ao vivo para se ver a frente seria um lugar triste, então estou muito feliz que Brian e Roger queiram continuar com o Queen e que encontraram, com Paul, uma maneira para fazer isso.

10- Aliás.. Por favor, dê-nos informações sobre John...você mantem contato com ele?? Como ele esta?
Eu não tenho mais contato com o John, mas me disseram que ele está muito bem saudável e feliz!

11- Mate-nos algumas curiosidades:
A banda tem projetos de uma nova turnê? Para quando?
Sim, eles estão falando sobre uma nova turnê, talvez no começo do ano que vem, mas apenas depois que o novo álbum esteja pronto para o lançamento eu imagino.
Quando sai o novo CD da banda?
Não faço idéia ainda, eles ainda estão trabalhando nas músicas, eu estou esperançosa de que seja lançado no começo do ano que vem.
WWRY tem projeto pra estrear em outros paises? há possibilidade de América do sul?
Não sei a resposta para essa pergunta no momento, mas eu sei que eles sempre estão procurando novos locais para o musical então talvez um dia!

12- Temos lido muitas informações sobre o filme que falará sobre  a vida de Freddie... O que você sabe sobre o filme? quem será Freddie? o que você pode nos dizer...
Não sei nada mais do que vocês sobre isso! Na verdade é um rumor - Existem pessoas falando sobre fazer o filme do Freddie, mas é apenas conversa até o momento, ninguém aprovou roteiro algum, ninguém foi convidado a interpretar o Freddie. Mas é claro se um dia fizessem, eu adoraria que fosse interpretado pelo Johnny Depp!

13- Jacky por Jacky:

Lugar favorito: Eu fui sortuda o bastante de visitar tantos lugares bonitos no mundo, um deles se chama Heron Island fica além da costa da Austrália, no "Great Barrier Reef" . Lá é maravilhoso. Eu adoraria visitar um dia as Ilhas Galápagos, e ver as ruínas Incas no Peru e um dia estar aí no Brasil para encontrar vocês pessoas adoráveis!
Cor favorita: amarelo! - tão alegre e brilhante.
Comida favorita... adoro comida, qualquer comida! Eu amo beber cerveja e vinho branco!
Hobbies: Jardinagem e andar a cavalo.

14- Qual hoje é seu sonho?
Sonhos? Meus sonhos são para meus filhos - Sophie de 14 e James de 11 anos. Meus sonhos para eles são que sejam felizes, saudáveis, aproveitem a vida, e que consigam o que quer que desejem dela.

15- Deixe uma mensagem aos fãs do Brasil....
Para todos nossos fãs maravilhosos no Brasil eu só quero dizer obrigado por sua lealdade e amizade. Espero que vocês continuem apoiando o fã clube e que eu possa oferecer o melhor serviço por mais 25 anos! Um dia espero encontrá-los aí no Brasil!

Jacky Smith is Worldwide known as Queen's Official Fan Club President. This year, she celebrates 25 years directing the Fã Clube, attending fãs, spreading Queen to the four corners of the earth. Throughout many and merited celebrations of her silver jubilee, Jack gives a toast to Brazilian fans with a four hands made interview by Lady Taylor and Rommy Maya. 1- We know you're ahead of the Fã Clube since 82. Tell US how did you become responsible for the longest existing Fan Club?
The job was advertised in a London newspaper called the Evening Standard. I saw the advertisement, and phoned the number. I had no Idea who it was for, it just said "top rock band require fan club Secretary". I went to the Queen office in Pembridge Road for an Interview, and was Asked to GO back for a second interview with Jim Beach. I met him, we chatted, and I got a phone call that same
Evening saying I had the job! That was in 1982!

 2- You deal with the band every Day. Which event would detach like: the happiest, the saddest, the funniest  and the most unexpected
Oh so many of ALL these kind of moments... The happiest were the Times I was lucky enough to see Queen live or attend their fabulous Parties! One of the funniest was at a Freddie party at his house, he Was behind the bar, serving us with drinks, and made us all "slammers" - vodka and champagne in small glasses, you have to cover The top of the glass, slam it onto the bar top then drink it all at Once. He insisted we drink as many as he did!
The saddest was of course when Freddie got ill and then died. I miss Him still, as do all Queen fans.

 3- Do you have any favorite song/album of the band? Is there any
 song which you don't like?

Favourite album Night At The Opera, favourite song Don't  Stop me Now! There are none I don't like!

 4- Which bands/artists you enjoy? Who is your Idol?
I love all sorts of music - mostly rock, many new bands, but I don't Think I really have an idol!

 5- Of course you will say there's no favorite member of the Queen for you. But certainly, your sympathy lies with one of them better.
 Who and why?
I love them all, honestly! I AM closest perhaps to Brian, as we talk  A lot, see each other maybe more than I see Roger. But Roger makes me Laugh and I enjoy his company very much when I do get to see him!

 6- We know the difficulties of maintaining the fã clube currently,  including the closing of its headquarters. What Brian and Roger
 have been doing to help keeping it? How do you deal with those difficulties?
Brian and Roger are very supportive of the fã clube and the fãs -  But there is Little they can do so actually keep US going. They
Always try and ensure that the fã clube can get priority tickets for Concerts, for we will rock you premieres, for other events. It is Thing like this that will keep the clube going - reasons for people to Want to join!

 7- What about fans? What can we do to help making it stand?
Fan club members are always so loyal to the band and to the fan club. The way we will keep going is to get MORE members to join, and try And encourage our members to keep renewing! I AM always happy for Suggestions from fans about what we can do as a fan club, to get new Members and ways of keeping our current members happy!

8- What is your opinion about the partnership Queen + Paul Rodgers? Would
 you put anyone else to join the vocals? Would you keep only Roger and Brian on the vocals?
I love Paul Rodgers! I think Paul has a great voice, and good stage Presence too. He doesn't try to be Freddie, that would have been not  So good (NO ONE will ever BE Freddie or be as good as him, so it's Good that Paul does not try to 'copy' him!) I thin the only other Person who could do the 'job' on vocals would be a guy called Jeff Scott Soto (recently with Journey). He has sung with Queen and he was Brilliant!

 9- Queen without Freddie and John. What do you say about that?
Queen as a band were FOUR individual and different people. One of Them is sadly dead, one of them (John) as retired - but two of them Are still alive and well and wanting to keep the music alive. I think That is a great thing. A World with no more real, live Queen music to Look forward to would be a sad Place, so I AM VERY happy that Brian And Roger WANT to keep it going, and have found, with Paul, a WAY to Keep it going!

10- Talking on the subject please give US information about John do you keep touch with him? How is he?
I am no longer in contact with John, but I am told he is very well, healthy and happy!

 11- We are curious about some things we'd like you to answer:
 Is the band planning a new tour? When?
Yes, they are talking about a new tour, perhaps early next year, butonly after the new album is ready to release I would think.

When is the new CD going to be released?
No idea yet, they are still working on the new music, I am hopeful it might be released early next year!

 14- WWRY has any plans to release in other countries? Is there any possibility of its release on the South America?
I don't know the answer to this question at the moment, but I know they are always looking for new places for the musical to play, so perhaps one day!

15- We've been reading a lot about the movie about Freddie. What do you know about that? Who's taking his part? What can you tell us about it?
I don't know any more about this than you! It is a rumour really - there ARE people talking about making this film about Freddie, but it's only talk at the moment, no one has approved a script, no one has asked anyone to play Freddie.... but of course IF they ever did, I would love for it to be Johnny Depp!!

Favourite colour yellow - so happy and bright.
Favourite food... I just love food, all food!! I love to drink beer and white wine!
Hobbies - gardening and horse riding!
- Place in the world. - What do you most enjoy to do? - What is your dream?
I have been lucky enough to visit so many beautiful places in the world, one of them is called Heron Island, it's off the coast of  Australia, on the Great Barrier Reef. It's stunning there. I would love one day to visit the Galapagos Islands, and see the Inca ruins in Peru and one day be there in Brazil to meet you lovely people!
Dreams? My dreams are for my children - Sophie who is 14 and James who is 11. My dreams for them are that they are happy, healthy and enjoy life, and get from it whatever THEY dream of!

To all our wonderful fans in Brazil - I just want to say thank you for your loyalty, and your friendship. I hope that you will continue to support the fan club, and that I can offer you my best service for 25 years more!! One day I hope to come and meet with you there in Brazil!
